Dave hard at work as usual

Both School buses have been super duper reinforced. Our friends at Redbull are sending up some graffiti artist to give them a sick makeover.

Getting boxes ready for a new coat of paint and some slick new graphics.

we should be done with repairs to all the jibs shortly and getting started on building new jibs within 2 weeks.

Oldie but Goodie 1.1..MFM and Friends

Posted on 31 July 2008 by ..E-

We’re dusting off some old videos from past seasons. Every week we’ll post one or two to the site. This weeks Oldie but Goodie is from Dec 2006 when MFM brought his crew up to Boreal to shoot for the Block TV show.

concrete on snow progress update

Posted on 24 July 2008 by ..E-

Today we started final assembly of the form work on the hill. We should be finished Monday and ready to pour concrete!

Looking up Rail Alley at …???(we don’t actually have a name for this yet!)

Side view into the soon to be pyramid

Filling the interior form with dirt.

About half way done with remesh/rebar work.

It will not be long now! Just a little more rebar/remesh work and then the exterior form for the pyramid can go into place and then we can pour the concrete.

Concrete on Snow

Posted on 23 July 2008 by ..E-

That’s right! Dave and Eric are out on the hill prepping for Boreal’s newest feature. A 5′ tall, 16′ long, concrete skate-style feature.

There are going to be so many options, it is going to be ridiculous.

Tour De Fat This Weekend

Posted on 23 July 2008 by ..E-

Who is willing to trade thier car in for a bike this weekend?

I have been to the Tour de Fat for the past two years, and it’s a lot of fun. Read about it in the Tahoe World or watch this video.

Summer Project Update

Posted on 21 July 2008 by ..E-

Work continues at the top unload area of the new Castle Peak Quad

Final grading isn’t too far off.

Looking down at where the top terminal will be set and 4 of the 16 new fan guns that will provide coverage for the new lift.

Hummmmm….could these fans be for the superpipe?

In total there will be 25 new fully automatic fans to provide coverage in the mountain core of the Accelerator and Castle Peak Quads including the Beginner areas, Prospector and Race Arena trails as well as the Superpipe, Night Park, Accelerator jump line(??say what??) and Kidz X park.

Monterey This Weekend

Posted on 21 July 2008 by ..E-

I was down in Monterey this weekend for the Red Bull Grand Prix Moto races. It was pretty sweet. I hung out and had a beer with Jason Lee, chatting about how sweet Boreal is. He is a big fan from back in the day.

The guy in the back-right with the flannel on is Jason Lee.
