The terrain park crew is working all-day to get the mountain ready. Below is a photo of some of the features we are planning to get onto the mountain and plus a few more if everything goes to plan.

In case you did not hear…

In addition to the Nugget Chair which will open at 9am Friday, Castle Peak Quad will be opening Friday afternoon at 4pm and run until 8pm Friday night, continuing throughout the weekend from 9am to 4pm. Friday’s temperatures are forecasted to reach the high 40’s and we want the snow to be fresh all weekend, hence the afternoon opening of Castle Peak on Friday. Look for snow in the forecast Saturday morning and a clear day Sunday.

We’ve been hard at it farming snow on Castle Peak. The east winds really blew the snow far from where we wanted it tuesday night. Good news is that we’ve been able to farm alot more back onto the run than we thought was possible this time yesterday. So what that means is that the Castle Peak Quad will open earlier than announced !!!!! We still have alot of prep to get the park line built but the Castle Peak Quad will open friday at 4-8pm as well as sat-sun as previously announced! JPI6 will be held on Castle Peak now rather than Nugget. Nugget will still be the first chair to open friday at 9am. see www.rideboreal.com for complete details as to price/tickets/times.

The snowmaking conditions were prime for laying down snow on the mountain. Cranked up snowmaking at 6pm and went full-force until about 10am. Looking real good for a Friday opening with at least Nugget chair and a terrain park.
